What FUE is
In FUE (follicular unit extraction), grafts are taken one by one from your donor area, usually the back of the head, and placed where hair is thinning. A graft is a natural group of one to four hairs taken with its root.
What decides your result is not how many grafts are moved, but how many of them survive and grow. Three things make the difference: how gently each graft is extracted, how short and cool it is kept outside the body, and how carefully it is placed – angle, direction, density.
Your treatment day
- Morning
Final consultation. You and Dr. Nurul draw your hairline together in front of the mirror until it looks like you.
- Anaesthesia
Local anaesthesia, no stitches. Many patients watch a film or sleep during the treatment.
- Extraction
Grafts are extracted one by one under magnification, then sorted and kept cool.
- Implantation
The artistic part: the angle and direction of every single hair.
- Afternoon
Aftercare briefing, first wash plan and a direct WhatsApp line to Dr. Nurul for your questions.
A treatment takes about 6 to 8 hours. Dr. Nurul performs one procedure per day.
Healing, month by month
- Day 1–14
Mild redness, swelling and small scabs are normal. Most patients can go back to work after a few days, and the treated area heals within about 2 to 4 weeks. In the first week you sleep with your head raised and wear only the loose cap you receive, no tight hat or helmet.
- Month 1
The “ugly duckling” phase: transplanted hair falls out. This is normal.
- Month 3–4
First new growth.
- Month 8
Density builds up.
- Month 12–15
The final result is assessed.
Results vary from person to person and depend on donor hair, age and type of hair loss.

How long does the treatment take?
A FUE treatment takes about 6 to 8 hours in one day, from the final consultation in the morning to the aftercare briefing in the afternoon. You go back to your accommodation the same day.
When can I go back to work?
Most patients can go back to work after a few days. The treated area heals within about 2 to 4 weeks. For one month avoid direct sun, heavy sweating, swimming, sauna and sport.
